“A Big Date With Liberty” Part 3

News Years draws closer, and Vigo has made his move.  Having Janosz kidnap Oscar and luring Dana to the Museum, he encased the entire building in an impenetrable slime wall.  Only the Ghostbusters could stop him now, right?  Perhaps, if Lenny’s assistant Jack Hardemeyer hadn’t had them committed to the psychiatric ward of Parkview Hospital!
FYI: Like the movie, this issue of the series contains deleted scenes.  Four pages were drawn for the ending but were cut out most likely to their not being used in the final film despite being in the script used as the basis for the adaptation.  They can be exclusively viewed at the GB Fan Forum.

FYI: This story was also featured in Marvel UK’s Real Ghostbusters #90-95.
BLOOPER:
Page 16-Throughout the second issue, Ecto-1A had the orange license plate used on the animated series representative of the New York Plate featured in the movie that ran until 1986.  In this issue, Ecto-1A suddenly has the Liberty plate featured in the second movie to allow the guys to get the idea to use the Statue of Liberty to fight Vigo.  In a similar event, for this scene in the movie the Statue of Liberty’s position on the plate had shifted from the left side to suddenly rest between “Ecto” and “1A” for its close-up shot.
