Okay, I really don't know anything about Tarot, so this will be more of a quick unboxing than a full review. If you're a regular customer of Ray's Occult, and thus have more experience on the subject, please feel free to post your thoughts in the comments section below.

The set comes in a 3.75"x5.75"x2.25" box featuring a slight embossing on the glossy "Ghostbusters" title on all sides that it appears on. It's a really sturdy box and includes a slime-green ribbon to make it easy to get the book and cards out.


The 128-page book, which measures 3.5"x5.5", was written by Amy Chase. It provides a great overview of Tarot and what each of the Major and Minor Arcana cards mean.


There are 78 cards in the deck, which measure approx. 2.75"x4.75", and feature new photo-realistic illustrations by Ben Turner. The cards are not glossy, but they are printed on sturdy cardstock and have a nice feel to them. I especially love Ben's illustrations, which are based on characters and incidents from Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II. There are a few that I actually thought were photographs until I took a better look at them. A gallery of all 78 card images can be viewed on the Ghostbusters Wiki, while Spook Central VIPs get an extended preview of the cards and guidebook.

The Ghostbusters Tarot Deck and Guidebook is available now and is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, whether you're into Tarot, or are just looking for another goodie for your Ghostbusters collection. Interesting, Sony recently released a Tarot horror film, which was actually previewed before Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire when I went to the theater for my second showing at the end of March. The Tarot film is available to watch now digitally, but will get a physical disc release on Blu-ray and DVD (no 4K) on July 9th. (UPDATE 7/20/2024 - I just reviewed the Tarot Blu-ray.)
