Ghostbusters Headquarters Closes Its Doors

By Paul Rudoff on Jul. 8, 2008 at 4:24 PM , Categories: Fans, Internet
One of the longest running Ghostbusters sites, Ghostbusters Headquarters, has recently closed its doors - though the site and message board are still online in an archive state. This is really sad news as I've known Troy and his site since pretty much day one. After reading his note on GBHQ, I can certainly understand why he had to do it. When the fun is lost, it's time to step away.

There's just a few of us old timers left. Spook Central, Proton Charging, and Sheila's RGB Fan Fic site are, I think, the oldest GB sites still online. Mr. Stay Puft's World O' Sounds is still be out there, but I don't think it's been updated in over 10 years.

Troy - We've had good times, and it's the memories that make it all worth it. We'll always have Paris...and Egon's Workshop!

Thanks for the kind words sir, I know I still owe ya an email which I forwarded to my work account from the ol’ netsolo address to remind myself to respond to. I’d love to move a ton of the content over to SC. At least the Central is still alive and kicking to feed my content habit when I need a break from work.

And oh, Egon’s Workshop… it’s still opening it’s doors sometime in 1997… in a parallel universe.

I’ve only just discovered both Spook Central and Ghostbusters Headquarters. Two excellent sites dedicated to my favourite show from childhood and one of my very favourite movies. A shame to see GHQ go; a joy to see SC continiue.

Hey Troy

Thanks for the comments. No problem about not replying to my e-mail. I’m sure that you’re really busy with Still Playing With Toys, and whatever else you may be working on. Whenever you’re ready, you know how to reach me.

Glad to hear that Egon’s Workshop it’s still coming soon in Bizarro World!

Hi Dante

Thanks for becoming a member and checking out my site. There’s lots to see already, and I’m working on many things so that there will be updates throughout the rest of the year. I may not update as often as some sites (*COUGH*Proton Charging*COUGH*), but I think that I make up for it in quantity. I tend to add a lot of stuff at once.
