Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire's London Library in Cunk on Life (2025)
By Paul Rudoff on Dec. 17, 2025 at 5:30 PM , Categories: Filming Locations, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire

One of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire's filming locations, the London Library, appears in the Netflix mockumentary Cunk on Life (2025). Read on to find out more...
Cunk on Life is a British mockumentary produced for the BBC and Netflix starring Diane Morgan as Philomena Cunk, an ill-informed investigative reporter. The film, and the previous media featuring Philomena Cunk, are dry absurdist comedies much in the vein of Sasha Baron Cohen's work, only less offensive. To give you an idea as to what it's like, here is the trailer.
At the 54:50 and 1:08:40 marks, Cunk walks through the stacks of the London Library, following in the footsteps of Hubert Wartzki and Ray Stantz.
I mean that, literally, as the stacks Cunk walks through above is 100% the same as those Hubert guided our heroes through en route to the archives room.
You can even see many of the same books in the same places.
Look at the shelves on both sides, as well as at the bottom of the first two images, to see those matching books.
Later in the mockmentary is this shot of Cunk walking from left to right through the stacks. I recognized it instantly thanks to the grated floor.
You can see a bit of the same stacks (not necessarily the same aisle) when Ray sees the library ghost.
That's really all there is to this one. I would have drawn arrows pointing to the same books in each screenshot, but I think it's pretty obvious if you look close enough.
I thought Cunk was leading up to a Ghostbusters reference when she interviewed theoretical physicist Professor Jim Al-Khalili (video embedded below), but it never came to be.
Cunk on Life is available on Netflix, where you can also (currently) find Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.
By the way, I thought Cunk was leading up to a Ghostbusters reference when she interviewed theoretical physicist Professor Jim Al-Khalili (video embedded below), but it never came to be.
