Miscellaneous > Website Archives - Paul's Sites
Websites do not last forever. At some point in time the owner/creator of the site will take it down and it will be lost forever. This is even the case with sites I've created, be they old versions of Spook Central or others sites I've started.
The Internet Archive's Wayback Machine lets you browse through 40 billion web pages archived from 1996 to a few months ago. Below are links to the archives of lost sites of mine that have been salvaged by the Internet Archive. Since I have some archived copies of my sites, I've zipped up my saved files and put them online, in case you want to download a long forgotten site of mine or an old copy of Spook Central. Just look for the "download site" links.
The sites I saved are not complete. This is either because I didn't have the capabilities to save the entire site (back then I was using 1.44 Mb floppies, not CD-Rs), or because most of the multimedia takes up too much space and can still be found on the current version of Spook Central (why save inferior copies of files that are still on the site?). So, you will undoubtedly find broken links and even a few missing image links on the saved webpages. For the sake of preservation, I have not fixed up any of these errors. I have tried to leave these pages pretty much as they were originally created by me.
Feel free to check out the History of Spook Central page over at Ghostbusters Fans, which I've been working on. Also, the cool cats over at the Ghostbusters Wiki created a page for Spook Central, so go check that out as well.
Listed below each forwarding url are the direct urls that are archived by the Internet Archive for that particular forwarding url on that particular date (or range of dates). These dates do not reflect the complete period of time that I used that url. They just let you know what url I was using at that time.
I do not know if I used any forwarding urls prior to January 28, 1999. If I did, and anyone remembers what they were, please e-mail me so that I can add them to this page.

DIRECT URLS
Listed below each url are the dates for which the Internet Archive has copies of the site from that location. These dates do not reflect the complete period of time that my site was at that location. They just let you know where the site was at that time.
I do not know any of the urls/locations my site was at inbetween August 1996 and December 2, 1998. If anyone remembers, please e-mail me so that I can add them to this page. I do recall one being DragonFire(.com, .net, .org?).
http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/7218/
Used from August 1996 to ??? [archived user signed up on 7/13/1998]
Archived copies start Oct 07, 1999 - long after I moved the site.
* In August 2006, to celebrate the site's 10th anniversary, I created a faux 1996 splash page that was designed to look like the first version of my website in August 1996. I kept the page up for a month, before taking it down, zipping it up, and adding it permanently to this page.

Back when my site still had that new website smell, I contacted fellow Ghostbusters webmaster, Adrian Adams to compliment him on his awesome Real Ghostbusters website that I had just found (which is no longer online as of 2007), and to spread word of my new site. Adrian actually had a page on his site where he kept copies of e-mail messages he received back in 1996. My e-mail to him is one of those he fortunately archived, and thanks to him, I'm able to present it to you. By the way, all of my typographical errors have been left in.
Subject: I Love Your RGB Page
Date: Oct. 7, 1996
I love you RGB page. I especially love those cute little Ghostbusters "kids" drawings you did. I'll be sure to add a link to your page on my web site, "http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/7218". I'm in the middle of a HUGH scanning project, so don't expect it to appear within the very near future, but I guarantee I will link it. By the way, are all the photos on Winston's page from the episode "Ragnarok and Roll"? They appear to be. but the top photos also looks like Sam Haine - but I doubt it is.-Paul Rudoff

These are some of my site's alternate logos and graphics. Some were used on the site long ago, and some were never used at all. They are provided ONLY for your visual enjoyment and are not to leave this site.
I have also scanned in the original image and Norm's note about it.
On April 17, 2019, Lars Karlsen made a large 2000x900 recreation of this logo for me, so that I could use it on projects that require an image much larger than the one above. He also made a few variations to use for other purposes: with a transparent background and on a white background
The original is on the left and an alternate version without my name is on the right.
This one I never used as I opted for "The Ghostbusters Companion Since August 1996" one instead.
