A New Ghostbusters Spanish Book - A Quien Vas A Llamar

A new Ghostbusters history book was just released entitled "¿A Quién Vas A Llamar?: De Tracy El Gorila A Peter Venkman - La Historia de Los Cazafantasmas". As you can surmise from that title, which translate to "Who You Gonna Call?: From Tracy the Gorilla to Peter Venkman - The History of Ghostbusters", the book is in Spanish. Read on to find out more about it...
This isn't going to be a traditional review, as I don't understand enough Spanish to be able to read the book. What I can do is tell you briefly about the book and show a lot of photos. Click on all of them for enlargements
I received a nice package in the mail yesterday (December 29, 2015) from Octavio Lopez Sanjuan containing a copy of his new paperback book. I am eternally grateful that Octavio graciously sent me a copy of the book, and with such a great inscription. It makes me feel good to know that my site, Spook Central, was able to help him with his book, and increase his enjoyment of being a Ghosthead.
This thick 616-page tome has likely slipped under the radar of most fans, and that's a crying shame. While I can't read Spanish, I can tell that this is the most far-encompassing book ever written about Ghostbusters. Not only does it cover the usual stuff, it's the only Ghostbusters book that devotes whole chapters to both Filmation series (live and animated) - complete with several pages of photos of the live series. The ghost comedies of the 1930's and 1940's, which were a precursor and inspiration for Dan Aykroyd's "Ghostbusters" are also given their due credit.
EVERY episode of EVERY Ghostbusters television series - Filmation live, Filmation animated, Real Ghostbusters, Slimer!, Extreme Ghostbusters - is given a detailed write-up in episode guides at the back of the book. There's even detailed write-ups of all of the video games and comic books!
Of course, the Spanish voice actors and dubbers are also mentioned. Just look at the images here of the Index to see what's covered. While it's mostly all text, there are three sections of photos, about half of which are in color.
Of course, you have to be able to read Spanish to get the most out of the book. If you do habla Espanol - best I can do is ask where the library is - you really should pick up a copy of this book. Sadly, it only seems to be available in Spain (and maybe neighboring countries).
American Amazon has it here, but it's just marketplace sellers shipping from Spain. Amazon Spain, of course, is selling it directly. It can also be purchased from the publisher, Tyrannosaurus Books, but I suspect that they only ship to Spain.
