Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Deleted & Extended Scenes
As I watched Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, I was surprised by how many shots and scenes in the trailers and TV spots, and promotional photos, were deleted from the final film. Even some of the stuff filmed in June 2023 in New York City isn't in the film. Yes, there will always be something deleted, but the list is pretty long for Frozen Empire. I'll give a SPOILER ALERT just for the hell of it, but really, how can any of this be considered a spoiler when it's NOT in the film?!?
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire New York City Premiere(?) Report (March 14, 2024)
On Thursday March 14, 2024, I (Paul Rudoff) attended what was advertised to me as the "world premiere" of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire in New York City. The movie will be in theaters on March 22nd (buy tickets here), but I'd like to share with you my report on what I experienced, which felt nothing like my experience at the Afterlife premiere.
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Official Electronic Press Kit (B-Roll & Soundbites)
Both Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II have Electronic Press Kits (EPK for short), which is a video reel sent to various media outlets (like TV News programs) for them to use to help promote a film. It usually contains a trailer, film clips, making of featurette, cast and crew interviews, behind the scenes footage, and other such stuff. Columbia Pictures produced EPKs for the original two films on videocassette. Nowadays, the studios just release the trailers and other video segments online for the press, like me. The B-Roll and Soundbites for Ghostbusters: Afterlife were released online in 2021. Sony just released that same publicity material for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, which I am sharing with you today.
Light 'Em Up: Ghostbusters Past, Present & Future Review
By Paul Rudoff on Mar. 4, 2024 at 10:30 PM , Categories: Ghostbusters 1, Ghostbusters 2, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, The 2016 Parody Remake, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire
With Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire set for release in less than three weeks, Sony has been running the marketing train at full speed. Recently, Sony released a 23-minute featurette entitled Light 'Em Up: Ghostbusters Past, Present & Future as promotion for Frozen Empire, but neglected to let anyone know about it. Even worse, it's currently only available on the Hulu streaming service, so most people won't even get to see it! I don't think that's how advertising is supposed to work.
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire - Domestic Final Trailer Review / Breakdown
On March 1, 2024, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire received one "Final Trailer" for the domestic United States region. I've already done reviews/breakdowns of the previous trailers, so let's do it one last time. BE FOREWARNED: THERE MAY BE SOME MINOR PLOT SPOILERS IF YOU KEEP READING, as I will take some educated guesses about things based on what little we know so far.
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire - Video Advertising Round-Up (Trailers, TV Spots, and More!)
With Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire set for release on March 22nd, the advertising machine has kicked into high gear, with multiple posters, several trailers, and lots of other TV and social media advertising. With so much out there, I thought it would be helpful if I gathered up the best of the best. Let's get started.
