As a result of doing 1,550 Blu-ray framegrabs from Ghostbusters: Afterlife for the Spook Central VIPs, I became intimately familiar with the movie on a shot-by-shot and frame-by-frame basis. This familiarity has lead me to discover things about the movie that you may have missed from a normal viewing, and thus I am writing a series of articles to present these discoveries to you.

It should be noted that, for the most part, these "Things You May Have Missed in Ghostbusters: Afterlife" articles will not discuss the myriad of references and Easter eggs in the movie, most of which are illustrated in the "We Got One! It is with great sadness that I report that the director of the original two Ghostbusters films, Ivan Reitman, passed away this past Saturday night, February 12th, at the age of 75. He died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Montecito, California.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment recently released Ghostbusters: Afterlife on home video in the following formats: 4K UHD/Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack, and Individual DVD. Thankfully, there are no store-exclusive releases or digital-exclusive special features this time, so this will be a fairly straightforward rundown of comprehensive details on what to find in each release. It should be noted that this review only covers United States releases, though it will likely be applicable to Canada, too. Not sure about Mexico or areas outside of North America. I suspect that the discs are, for the most part, the same worldwide, but I can't say for sure, so I'll just err on the safe side and cover what I know has been released here in the U.S.
