Mill Creek Entertainment recently released the London (2005) Blu-ray. Read on to find out more about it...
[ SYNOPSIS ]
London. Not the city. The woman. Now that his passionate but stormy relationship with London (Jessica Biel) has ended, Syd (Chris Evans) has become a total wreck. While numbing himself senseless with drugs and alcohol, he discovers London's friends are throwing her a going-away bash. Furious over her plans, Syd crashes the party with his dealer (Jason Statham) in tow, hoping to stop his ex-love from leaving town - no matter what the cost.
[ SPECIFICATIONS ]
The movie is presented in a 2.35:1 aspect ratio with a runtime of 1:32:30. The movie has been rated R for strong sexual content, pervasive language and drug use, and some violence. Audio languages include English. Subtitle languages include English SDH.
[ SPECIAL FEATURES ]
There are no special features on the Blu-ray disc. As stated at DVD Compare, Sony's DVD, released in 2006, includes an Audio Commentary with writer/director Hunter Richards and co-producer Ross Weinberg, a 9-minute Behind The Scenes featurette, and four Deleted Scenes.
[ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ]
No digital copy code voucher is included inside the standard one-disc blue Blu-ray case, nor is there a slipcover.
[ NOTES ]
London (2005) is available on Blu-ray from Mill Creek and DVD from Sony. The DVD includes special features that Mill Creek didn't port over this Blu-ray, which is the film's debut in the format. It's hard to recommend this film in either format because it's so damn boring. It's basically 90-minutes of Chris Evans in a posh bathroom talking to another person (mainly Jason Statham wearing a distracting toupee) about his ex-girlfriend (Jessica Biel) while doing coke. I have no problem with character-driven films, but usually there's some character development to carry the film. Here, character development boils down to Syd (Evans) being able to say "I love you" to London at the end. No wonder she dumped him. There are many notables in the cast: Chris Evans, Jessica Biel, Joy Bryant, Jason Statham, Kelli Garner, Isla Fisher, Louis C.K., Dane Cook, Lina Esco, Paula Patton, and Kat Dennings. Aside from Evans and Statham, their screentime is limited. I think I only saw Kat Dennings in one shot!
