Mill Creek Entertainment is set to release the The Center Seat: 55 Years of Star Trek (2021) DVD on April 25, 2023. Read on to find out more about it...
[ SYNOPSIS ]
Narrated by Gates McFadden, this 11-episode documentary series takes viewers on the definitive in-depth journey behind the scenes of one of the greatest landmark franchises of all time: Star Trek. Featuring interviews with cast, crew, and experts, this series explores pivotal moments in the franchise's history, from its inception at Lucille Ball's production company Desilu to countless film and television spinoffs.

[ NOTES ]
The Center Seat: 55 Years of Star Trek is available on DVD only. There is no Blu-ray release, sadly, likely in an effort to keep the HD version as a streaming-exclusive. In addition to the DVD, there is a related Hardcover Book by Peter Holmstrom. The show's editing style is very similar to Nacelle's Netflix series The Movies That Made Us and The Toys That Made Us. If you are not turned off by that style, the show is Highly Recommended.
