[ NOTES ]
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024) is available on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD. Each disc is sold separately; there are no Combo Pack releases for this title, unfortunately. I really wish Warners would go back to producing the 4K+Blu-ray Combo Packs.
Anyway, the film is a great monster fighting flick. The fights between the monsters are some of the best I've seen in the series. The human scenes were a bit of a drag, bearing more resemblance to The Lost World (not the Jurassic Park sequel), but overall it was an enjoyable film. If you have yet to see any of the other films in the "Monsterverse" series - Godzilla (2014), Kong: Skull Island (2017), Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019), and Godzilla vs. Kong (2021) - you can get them all in one Monsterverse 5-Film Collection that is available on 4K UHD and DVD. For reasons I don't understand, Warners did not release a Blu-ray version of the collection, yet chose to release one in the outdated DVD format. (New HD content has no business being released on DVD anymore.) The 4K version comes with a bonus disc of special features including the new "Directors of the Monsterverse" featurette with Monsterverse directors Gareth Edwards, Jordan Vogt-Roberts, Michael Doughtery and Adam Wingard.
