Icons Unearthed: Fast & Furious Blu-ray Review
By Paul Rudoff on Sep. 5, 2024 at 11:00 PM in Home Video
Mill Creek Entertainment is set to released the Icons Unearthed: Fast & Furious Blu-ray on September 10th. Read on to find out more about it...
[ SYNOPSIS ]
It all began with a magazine article that exposed the world of illegal drag racing in cities across America. Creatives at Universal would make a modest action film featuring drag racing, car modification - and of course, family - from its pages. What should have been a one-off popcorn summer flick became one of the largest film franchises of all time.

[ NOTES ]
Icons Unearthed: Fast & Furious is available on Blu-ray only. Each "season" of Icons Unearthed is a different multi-part "episode" about a single film series. It was made by the same crew who produced The Toys That Made Us and The Movies That Made Us, and if you've seen either of those series, you'll have an idea as to what to expect here. I suspect that even a die-hard Fast & Furious fan will learn something over the many hours of interviews and information presented here.
Mill Creek previously released a few of the other seasons on Blu-ray: Star Wars (reviewed here), and The Simpsons (reviewed here). It seems that Mill Creek is releasing the seasons in order, so I think the Marvel Cinematic Universe season will be next, which should be a joy to watch. Keep them coming.
