Botchamania #500
By Paul Rudoff on Oct. 24, 2024 at 6:00 PM in Wrestling
Botchamania is my favorite wrestling comedy series, which I've written about many times already. The series spotlights goofs (aka "botches") in wrestling programs. In the latest episode, Botchamania #500 (October 21, 2024), some WWE Bad Blood 2024 audio gaffes I spotted were used. Read on to find out more...
I wanted to write this post simply to congratulate Matthew "Maffew" Gregg on making it to 500 episodes. As someone who's also been at it for a long time (nearly 30 years running Spook Central), I know what it's like to go for longevity; never expecting to still be doing this decades later. Hopefully, we'll all still be around in another 16 years when Botchamania hits the big 1,000th episode.
In Botchamania #500, some WWE Bad Blood 2024 audio gaffes I spotted were used, though I was not credited for finding them. Maybe someone else found them first, or maybe Maffew forgot to give the credit. No biggie. When you get to the 12:00 mark, you will hear two Michael Cole verbal slip-ups. (1) At one point mid-way through the show, Cole refers to Rhodes as "Corey Rhodes". Corey Graves catches him. (2) During the post-main event beat-down, after Jimmy convinces Roman to help Cody, Cole says something to the effect of, "Jimmy convinces Roman to stop the beat-down on Roman Reigns".
After watching the full episode #500 below, go check out Botchamania on Facebook (req. login) and Twitter, and buy something from the Botchamania Shop - such as a non-breakable little, tiny table.
Finally, if you've never seen the (so far) unused Botchamania Endings I created, check them out here.
IMPORTANT: Since it is very likely that the Botchamania episode embedded in this article will be taken down by Youtube, because WWE doesn't understand Fair Use, be sure to visit the unofficial video archive to view this episode and many more, past and present.
