Warner Brothers will soon release the Red One (2024) 4K UHD. Read on to find out more about it...
[ SYNOPSIS ]
After Santa Claus (J.K. Simmons) - code name: Red One - is kidnapped, the North Pole's Head of Security, Callum Drift (Dwayne Johnson), must team up with the world's most infamous bounty hunter, Jack O'Malley (Chris Evans), in a globe-trotting, action-packed mission to save Christmas.
[ SPECIFICATIONS ]
The movie is presented in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with a runtime of 2:03:02. The movie has been rated PG-13 for action, some violence, and language. Audio languages include English, English Descriptive, French, Italian, and Spanish. Subtitle languages English SDH, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, and Chinese.
[ SPECIAL FEATURES ]
There are no special features on the 4K UHD disc. This is not a surprise since this is an Amazon MGM title being distributed by Warner Brothers, and not a WB film.
[ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ]
A digital copy code voucher is included inside the standard one-disc black 4K UHD case. A slipcover is also included.
[ NOTES ]
Red One (2024) is available on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD. To say that Red One is an over-bloated mess would be an understatement. With an over two hour runtime, it is way too long. The PG-13 language makes it inappropriate for little kids, while the middling story won't appeal to adults. Teens probably won't care much for it, either. I'm not really sure who this would appeal to, as a whole. Kiernan Shipka makes for a great, cute villainess, and some of the creatures were nice, though. I could have done without the obvious green-screen shots. With no extras, I'm not really sure this 4K release is appealing as a buy. Rent/stream it first.
