Warner Brothers recently released the Touche Turtle and Dum Dum: The Complete Series Blu-ray. Read on to find out more about it...
[ SYNOPSIS ]
"Touche, away!" So began this delightful series of animated adventures featuring the swashbuckling hero Touche Turtle and his faithful sheepdog companion, Dum Dum. One of three different new cartoon series introduced by Hanna-Barbera for the 1962-63 television season, the first-ever complete collection of the cartoon antics starring Touche Turtle and Dum Dum makes its home video debut with this newly-remastered and restored Blu-ray release.
[ EPISODES ]
The 2-disc set includes all 52 episodes/shorts of the 1962-1963 series that was part of the The Hanna-Barbera New Cartoon Series programming block, along with Wally Gator and Lippy the Lion and Hardy Har Har (both coming to Blu-ray from Warner Archive next month).
[ SPECIFICATIONS ]
The show is presented in a 1.33:1 aspect ratio. The show is Not Rated. Audio languages include English. Subtitle languages include English SDH.
[ SPECIAL FEATURES ]
There are no special features.
[ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ]
No digital copy code voucher is included inside the standard two-disc blue Blu-ray case.
[ NOTES ]
Touche Turtle and Dum Dum: The Complete Series is available on Blu-ray. I'll be honest, the picture quality isn't the greatest on this one. Due to the source material, it looks like standard definition video upscaled to HD. It's still very watchable. It just looks more like VHS or early DVD than Blu-ray.
