10 Rillington Place (1971)
• BUY IT: Blu-ray, DVD.
• SYNOPSIS: John Christie (Richard Attenborough) is the notorious serial killer who lured woman to their doom in his London flat. When Timothy Evans (John Hurt) and his young family move into 10 Rillington Place, they are caught in a web of manipulation and murder that will shake the British criminal justice system to Its very foundation.
• SPECIAL FEATURES: There are no special features.
• RATING: Not Rated
• NOTES: This is a budget release of the movie by itself. If you want extras, Twilight Time released a Blu-ray in 2016 with some extras (isolated score, two commentaries, and a trailer), but it is out of print and going for high prices on the aftermarket. As long as you don't want extras, this Alliance Blu-ray is RECOMMENDED.

Hanky Panky (1982)
• BUY IT: Blu-ray, DVD.
• SYNOPSIS: After a chance encounter with the mysterious Kate (Gilda Radner), architect Michael Jordon (Gene Wilder) is swept into a deadly conspiracy. The duo must outrun shadowy agents and assassins as they unravel a plot that's every bit as outrageous as it is dangerous. Get ready for a wild caper full of mistaken identity, espionage, and laughs starring one of Hollywood's most beloved power couples!
• SPECIAL FEATURES: There are no special features.
• RATING: PG.
• NOTES: The late greats Gene Wilder and Gilda Radner find themselves in a zany adventure for their first of three on-screen pairings. The real-life couple would later re-team in The Woman in Red (1984) and Haunted Honeymoon (1986) before Gilda would pass away in 1989.

Network (1976)
• BUY IT: 4K UHD, Blu-ray, Blu-ray (Warner), DVD (2-Disc Spec. Ed.).
• SYNOPSIS: This media satire, directed by Sidney Lumet from a brilliantly incisive script by Paddy Chayefsky, is an X-ray of the corrupted soul of a corporate-dominated America, startlingly prescient in its anticipation of today's outrage-driven news cycle. At a struggling television network, ambitious executive Diana Christensen (Faye Dunaway) finds herself with a hit on her hands when disgruntled newscaster Howard Beale (Peter Finch) goes off script, transforming himself into a mad-as-hell prophet railing against the ills of modern society. But can she control the populist revolution they have unleashed on the airwaves?
• SPECIAL FEATURES: All of the content below can be found on the Blu-ray disc. Only the commentary is on the 4K UHD disc.
- Audio Commentary - with director Sidney Lumet.
- The Making of Network (1:25:31) - A six-part 2006 documentary by Laurent Bouzereau.
- Paddy Chayefsky: Collector of Words (1:29:01) - A 2025 documentary about the screenwriter by Matthew Miele.
- Trailer (2:59)
• NOTES: Includes a fold-out booklet with an essay titled "Back to the Future" by writer and New York Times columnist Jamelle Bouie. As great as this Criterion Collection 4K UHD + Blu-ray release is, it saddens me to report that many extras are missing. If you want everything, you'll also need to buy Warner's 2011 Blu-ray (or the 2-Disc Special Edition DVD) for the "Dinah!" TV show excerpt with Paddy Chayefsky (14:01) and the "Turner Classic Movies' Private Screenings" documentary featuring Sidney Lumet (54:34). Purchase links are in the "Buy It" section above. If you have a region-free player, the Arrow Films/Academy Region-B Blu-ray also includes "The Directors: Sidney Lumet" 1999 documentary (59:38), "Tune in Next Tuesday" visual essay by Dave Itzkoff (47:06), and a longer Theatrical Trailer (3:17).

All The Presidents Men (1976)
• BUY IT: 4K UHD, 4K UHD Steelbook, Blu-ray 2-Disc Special Ed, Blu-ray 1-Disc Digibook, DVD 2-Disc Special Ed.
• SYNOPSIS: The true story as Washington Post reporters Carl Bernstein (Dustin Hoffman) and Bob Woodward (Robert Redford), whose investigation of a seemingly minor hotel room break-in uncovers the greatest political scandal in United States history and leads to the downfall of President Richard Nixon.
• SPECIAL FEATURES: All of the content below can be found on the 4K UHD disc.
- All the President's Men: The Film and its Influence (7:56) - A new 2026 piece driven by interviews with CNN anchors Dana Bash and Jake Tapper.
- Woodward and Bernstein: A Journalism Masterclass (7:36) - A new 2026 piece driven by interviews with CNN anchors Dana Bash and Jake Tapper.
- Woodward and Bernstein: Lighting the Fire (17:53) - A 2006 DVD-era piece.
- Telling the Truth About Lies (28:21) - A 2006 DVD-era piece.
- Out of the Shadows: The Man who was Deep Throat (16:21) - A 2006 DVD-era piece.
- Jason Robards on Dinah! (7:09) - A clip from the 1976 series.
• NOTES: A slipcover is included. While the film looks great in ultra high definition, and there are a nice selection of extras, there are some considerable extras from previous releases that are missing here. You will need to buy the "Two-Disc Special Edition" Blu-ray from 2013 to also have a 2006 audio commentary with Robert Redford, the vintage 1976 featurette "Pressure and the Press: The Making of All the President's Men" (10:05), the feature-length 2014 documentary "All the President's Men Revisited" (1:27:46), and the Theatrical Trailer (2:51). This is why it's so sad that Warner Brothers stopped including a pre-existing Blu-ray disc with their 4K releases.

Ben-Hur (1959)
• BUY IT: 4K UHD, 4K UHD Steelbook, Blu-ray 3-Disc 50th Ann. Ult. Col. Ed., Blu-ray 2-Disc Diamond Luxe Ed., Blu-ray 1-Disc, DVD 4-Disc Coll. Ed..
• SYNOPSIS: A member of the Jewish nobility living in Jerusalem, Judah Ben-Hur (Charlton Heston) lives a religious life and peacefully opposes the tyrannical occupation of Judea by Rome. When a boyhood friend, Messala (Stephen Boyd), returns to the region as a Roman official, he and Judah become estranged due to Messala's fanatical loyalty to Rome and ruthless indifference to the fate of Judea. Casting friendship aside, Messala fabricates a charge of treason against Ben-Hur, his sister and mother, all of whom are arrested by Roman soldiers.
• SPECIAL FEATURES: The commentary and score can only be found on the two 4K UHD discs. All of the other content below can only be found on the Blu-ray extras disc.
- Audio Commentary - by film historian T. Gene Hatcher with Charlton Heston. (Recorded in the 1990s or 2000s, I think.)
- Music Only Track - showcasing Mikos Rozsa's score.
- Ben-Hur: Anatomy of an Epic (6:47) - A new 2025 piece featuring comments from film critic Pete Hammond, Academy Museum of Motion Pictures director K.J. Relth-Miller, director of photography Autumn Durald Arkapaw, ASC, and author and film historian Tony Maietta.
- The Cinematography of Scale (8:23) - A new 2025 piece featuring comments from film critic Pete Hammond, Academy Museum of Motion Pictures director K.J. Relth-Miller, director of photography Autumn Durald Arkapaw, ASC, and author and film historian Tony Maietta.
- Charlton Heston & Ben-Hur: A Personal Journey (1:18:04) - A feature-length documentary from 2011 that offers reminiscences by Heston's wife, son and daughter as well as a number of other people.
- Ben-Hur: The Making of an Epic (58:14) - A lengthy documentary from 1993 that includes a lot of background information, and which features interviews with a slew of people like Rudy Behlmer.
- Ben-Hur: A Journey Through Pictures (5:08) - A slideshow of stills and storyboards set to Rozsa's score from the film.
- Screen Tests (29:10) - Includes Cesare Denova as Ben-Hur and Leslie Nielsen as Messala (6:55), Leslie Nielsen as Messala and Yale Wexler as Judah (11:22), George Baker as Ben-Hur and William Russell as Messala (5:32), and Haya Harareet (Esther) Make-Up Test (5:04).
• NOTES: A slipcover is included. As with All the President's Men, Warner Brothers left out a lot of extras from previous Blu-ray and DVD releases. So, if you want everything, you'll need the 3-disc "50th Anniversary Ultimate Collector's Edition" Blu-ray (or the 4-disc "Collector's Edition" DVD) to get these missing extras: the 1925 silent version of the film (2 hrs 23 min), the documentary "Ben-Hur: The Epic That Changed Cinema" (57:46), six newsreel clips, highlights from the 4/4/1960 Academy Awards ceremony (9:47), and five theatrical trailers. The "50th Anniversary Ultimate Collector's Edition" Blu-ray will also give you a lot of physical goodies. If you don't want them, well it doesn't look like all three discs are available separately, other than the 4-disc DVD. Again, the movie looks fantastic in ultra high definition, it's just a shame that not all of the existing extras are included here.

The New Fred and Barney Show (1979)
• BUY IT: Blu-ray.
• SYNOPSIS: Almost 20 years after its television debut, Hanna-Barbera brought The Flintstones back to network television in 1979 with an all-new series entitled The New Fred and Barney Show. Originally broadcast on Saturday mornings on NBC, this collection contains all 17 episodes of the "revival" series which captured the essence of what made the original series such an enduring fan favorite. Featuring the voice characterizations of Henry Corden as Fred, Mel Blanc as Barney, Jean VanderPyl as Wilma, and Gay Autterson as Betty, The New Fred and Barney Show is cleverly written and is making its official home video debut with this all-new Blu-ray collection.
• SPECIAL FEATURES: There are no special features.
• RATING: Not Rated.
• NOTES: The show plays out like an updated version of the original 1960s series (also available on Blu-ray), which is exactly what its trying to be. I think it's a little bit better than the earlier revivals, The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show (only available on DVD) and The Flintstone Comedy Hour (not available on home video). The show looks fantastic in high definition and has many of the original voice cast, so it's HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The Woody Woodpecker and Friends Golden Age Collection
• BUY IT: Blu-ray.
• SYNOPSIS: Woody Woodpecker, everyone's favorite wacky red-headed bird, returns in with more hilarious and crazy adventures in The Woody Woodpecker and Friends Golden Age Collection! Join Woody and his friends in hours of side-splitting fun with these 25 classic theatrical cartoons from renowned cartoonist Walter Lantz. This unforgettable collection showcases some of the wildest antics in animation history, and includes treasures like archival behind-the-scenes footage of Walter Lantz, plus so much more!
• SHORTS: Includes these 25 shorts, not all of which star Woody Woodpecker: Woodpecker in the Rough (1952) (6:50), Get Lost! Little Doggy (1964) (6:16), Greedy Gabby Gator (1963) (6:18), Heap Big Hepcat (1960) (6:14), Romp in a Swamp (1959) (6:12), Rough Riding Hood (1966) (6:16), Science Friction (1963) (6:16), Billion Dollar Boner (1960) (6:17), Andy Panda Goes Fishing (1940) (8:54), Good-Bye Mr. Moth (1942) (6:52), The Bongo Punch (1957) (6:23), Little Televillain (1958) (6:05), Fractured Friendship (1965) (6:10), Paw's Night Out (1955) (6:10), Pig in a Pickle (1954) (6:11), Pigeon Holed (1956) (6:10), The Talking Dog (1956) (6:10), Witty Kitty (1960) (6:14), Adventures of Tom Thumb Jr. (1940) (7:31), The Sleeping Princess (1939) (9:59), Kittens' Mittens (1940) (8:44), Syncopated Sioux (1940) (6:54), The Flying Turtle (1953) (6:13), The Mouse and the Lion (1953) (6:08), and Flea for Two (1955) (6:04).
• SPECIAL FEATURES: All of the content below can be found on the Blu-ray disc. I believe that the segments with Walter Lantz teaching viewers how cartoons are made might have been pulled from The Woody Woodpecker Show (1957-1972). They certainly came from a series of shorts or segments.
- Cartoonland Mysteries (10:48) - A vintage dramatization of how animated shorts are made.
- Spook-A-Nanny (8:09) - Woody Woodpecker stops by a Halloween party attended by Chilly Willy, and a host of others. The titular song by The Gloria Wood Trio is now stuck in my head :-)
- Drawing Woody and Andy (4:44) - Viewers learn how to draw the characters in this vintage segment.
- Directing Animated Cartoons (4:04) - A dramatization that shows viewers the various responsibilities shouldered by animation directors.
- Timing a Cartoon (4:09) - This segment displays how metronomes and timesheets are used to guide the actions of animated characters.
- Character Movement (2:38) - Watch an animator work on a series of drawings to make a character move.
- The Animator's Job (3:47) - Watch as the director goes over storyboards with the animators and assigns scenes for them to complete.
- Using Backgrounds (4:05) - The work of the background artist is shown.
- Drawing with Walter Lantz (4:50) - Lantz covers a new book being written to help others learn to draw by sharing tips from him and other professionals.
- Storyboarding Woody Woodpecker (4:08) - Viewers are guided through the storyboards for a cartoon staring Woody Woodpecker.
• NOTES: Universal previously released 25 Woody shorts in The Woody Woodpecker Screwball Collection Blu-ray, so be sure to pick that up in addition to this new Blu-ray. Hopefully Universal will release the rest of Lantz's work on Blu-ray so we can have a complete collection.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
