• SYNOPSIS: In a near-future society, The Running Man is the top-rated show on television - a deadly competition where contestants, known as Runners, must survive 30 days while being hunted by professional assassins, with every move broadcast to a bloodthirsty public and each day bringing a greater cash reward. Desperate to save his sick daughter, working class Ben Richards (Glen Powell) is convinced by the show's charming but ruthless producer, Dan Killian (Josh Brolin), to enter the game as a last resort. But Ben's defiance, instincts, and grit turn him into an unexpected fan favorite - and a threat to the entire system. As ratings skyrocket, so does the danger, and Ben must outwit not just the Hunters, but a nation addicted to watching him fall.

Wuthering Heights (2026)
• BUY IT: 4K UHD, Blu-ray, DVD.
• SYNOPSIS: A bold and original interpretation of one of the greatest love stories of all time. Catherine "Cathy" Earnshaw (Margot Robbie) and Heathcliff (Jacob Elordi) have a forbidden passion for one another that turns from romantic to intoxicating in an epic tale of lust, love and madness.
• SPECIAL FEATURES: All of the content below can be found on the 4K UHD disc.
- Audio Commentary by writer/director/producer Emerald Fennell.
- Threads of Desire (6:51) - Jacqueline Durran brings Emerald Fennell's imagined Gothic world to life through costume. Cathy's evolving silhouettes unfold in clear acts, while Heathcliff's transformation and the ensemble's distinct looks reveal emotion, status, and obsession.
- The Legacy of Love and Madness (5:32) - Emerald Fennell reflects on her lifelong bond with Wuthering Heights and the hidden depravity of the Victorian era, reimagining Emily Bronte's tale through emotion, memory, and desire to create an epic love story for a new generation.
- Building a Fever Dream (12:09) - An in-depth look at how Emerald Fennell built a world that feels alive. Where design, sound, and performance fuse into one hypnotic vision of love, madness, and creation. The making of a living, breathing fever dream.
• NOTES: The first print run comes with a slipcover. A very loose adaptation of the Emily Bronte novel that opts to tell its own story. Given that there are many previous screen versions, I applaud Emerald Fennell for choosing to be "different". It looks great in 4K and is recommended, as long as you know going in that it's not a straight book-to-screen version.

Speed Racer (2008)
• BUY IT: 4K UHD, 4K UHD Steelbook, Blu-ray, DVD.
• SYNOPSIS: Fearlessly hurtling down the track, careening around, over and through the competition in his thundering Mach 5, Speed Racer (Emile Hirsch) was born to race cars. But when Speed turns down a lucrative offer from Royalton Industries, he not only infuriates the company's maniacal owner (Roger Allam) but uncovers a terrible secret -- some of the biggest races are being fixed by a handful of ruthless moguls! The only way for Speed to save his family's business and the sport he loves is to beat Royalton at his own game. With the support of his family (John Goodman and Susan Sarandon) and his loyal girlfriend, Trixie (Christina Ricci), Speed teams with his one-time rival -- the mysterious Racer X (Matthew Fox) -- to win the race that took his brother, Rex Racer's, life: the death-defying, cross-country rally known as The Crucible.
• SPECIAL FEATURES: All of the content below can be found on the 4K UHD disc.
- Fast / Future / Family: Speed Racer (13:11) - In this new interview, the Wachowskis revisit the film's joyful genesis, its dazzling craft, and its second life as a cult classic.

- Speed Racer: Car-Fu Cinema (27:32) - A detailed, behind the scenes look at the techniques used to achieve the film's spectacular racing scenes.
- Speed Racer: Wonderful World of Racing, The Amazing Racer Family (21:00) - This tongue-in-cheek piece presents cast and crew interviews, along with production clips, as a documentary about the Racer family's history.
• NOTES: The first print run comes with a slipcover. The film didn't do much back in 2008, which is a shame because it's hella fun, stunningly beautiful in a cartoonish way, and looks magnificent in ultra high definition. If you've never seen it before, check it out now! Interestingly, last month I bought a Mach 5 table lamp (for $15) that was released back in 2008 as tie-in merch for this film. While I'm giving out links to The Corner Penthouse Facebook page, check out this gallery of DVD stills for the original anime series.

• NOTES: The first print run comes with a slipcover. It's The Bride of Frankenstein meets Bonnie and Clyde and it's not very good. A real mess. Rent before considering a purchase.

- Fallout: The Ghoul Log (1:29:48) - Wayne Newton tells a Christmas story, with plenty of Christmas music intermixed, while The Ghoul sits down to listen. Most of the video is a static shot of a fireplace with an arm burning inside, hence the "Yule Log" pun title of this piece.

Private Benjamin (1980)
• BUY IT: Blu-ray.
• SYNOPSIS: A Jewish-American princess, Judy Benjamin (Goldie Hawn), is devastated when her husband (Albert Brooks) drops dead on their wedding night. While she grieves, a duplicitous recruiter for the Women's Army Corps convinces her to enlist. Judy thinks her enlistment is like a vacation, but Captain Lewis (Eileen Brennan) quickly dashes her hopes of an easy time. As Judy goes through basic training like any other grunt, she becomes a good soldier and develops a sense of self-esteem.
• SPECIAL FEATURES: All of the content below can be found on the Blu-ray disc.
- TV Episode: "Benjamin to the Rescue" (22:41) - The series ran for 39 episodes over three seasons from 1981 to 1983. Lorna Patterson takes over the lead role, with Eileen Brennan as Capt. Doreen Lewis as the only holdover from the film. This is the first episode of the first season, which originally aired on April 6, 1981.
- TV Episode: "The Captain's Helper" (22:53) - This is the fourth episode of the first season, which originally aired on April 27, 1981. Craig T. Nelson, who appeared in the film as Capt. William Wooldridge, guest stars as a different character here. It must be noted that both of these episodes suffer from noticeable interlacing and frame judder that make them tough to watch, but they're prefaced by disclaimers stating that they were sourced from the best-available video masters.
- Theatrical Trailer (2:40)
• NOTES: A Goldie Hawn classic that still holds up today and is a great example of how female empowerment films should be written. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Here's hoping that Warner Archive gives us Protocol (1984), another Goldie classic, on Blu-ray soon, so I can get rid of the old fullscreen DVD I have that is paired with Private Benjamin.

- Theatrical Trailer (1:41)

A beautiful 4K restoration of this classic musical that carries over all of the extras from Sony's 2018 Blu-ray and Twilight Time's out-of-print 2013 Blu-ray, aside from the latter's "Isolated Score" (music and effects track). While it's a shame that audio track is missing, this new Sony 4K UHD is still the definitive release of the film.

Douglas. It's a standard '80s action show, so if you like shows such as The A-Team, you'll like this show. Do be aware that it bears little resemblance, aside from the helicopter, to its big screen counterpart, which is available on 4K UHD from Arrow Films and Blu-ray from Sony.

Voltron: Legendary Defender - The Complete Series (2016)

• NOTES: All 12 discs are stored in a thick crappy Epik Pak case, stored inside a side-loading slipbox. An episode list is printed on the interior. IMPORTANT: It should be noted that "Season 7, Disc 1" has a menu (and disc label) that says "Season 3, Disc 1", but it does contain the proper Season 7 episodes. The set is RECOMMENDED, despite the crappy case, though be sure to get the original 1980s Defender of the Universe series, which is also packaged in the same type of case.

When Rory's attention turns from dreams of private school and Harvard to boys and adolescent self-reliance, single mom Lorelai begins noticing more of her own rebellious youth in Rory.

An episode list is printed on the interiors of both cases. The show is RECOMMENDED, though I really wish the studios would stop putting Blu-rays in DVD-size cases, especially these crappy Epik Pak cases.
