Scorpion Releasing recently released The Mechanic (1972) on Blu-ray. Read on to find out more about it...
[ SYNOPSIS ]
Arthur Bishop (Charles Bronson) is a mob hit man who operates in an uncompromising world where conventional rules of morality don't apply and one wrong move could cost him his life! He's always worked alone; but, as age catches up with him, Bishop takes on competent and ruthless apprentice Steve McKenna (Jan-Michael Vincent), and teaches him everything he knows. Together they become an unmatchable team of globetrotting killers ... until the pupil's ruthlessness puts him on a collision course with his teacher!

[ NOTES ]
The Mechanic is available on Blu-ray and DVD. (Just avoid the Charles Bronson 3-Pack Action DVD from TGG Direct, paired with Assassination (1987) and Messenger of Death (1988), as it contains a copy of the movie with 30 minutes edited from it!) This new release from Scorpion Releasing is a retail re-release of a disc that was first released exclusively on the Ronan Flix website back in 2020. Left off this disc is the Isolated Score Track from the out-of-print 2014 Twilight Time Blu-ray (alt url). I really wish the isolated score was included on this new disc. That said, the Scorpion Releasing disc is the preferred version.
I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the Jason Statham remake and it's sequel. The Mechanic (2011) is available on Blu-ray (be sure to buy the Sony release with the bonus features). The Mechanic Resurrection (2016) is available on 4K UHD and Blu-ray.
