Warner Brothers recently released the Eraser: Reborn (2022) Blu-ray. Read on to find out more about it...
[ SYNOPSIS ]
U.S. Marshal Mason Pollard (Dominic Sherwood) specializes in "erasing" people - faking the deaths of high-risk witnesses. With the technological advances of the last 25 years, the game has upgraded, and it's just another day at the office when he's assigned to Rina Kimura (Jacky Lai), a crime boss' wife who's decided to turn state's evidence. As the two flee to Cape Town, South Africa, with a team of merciless assassins on their trail, Pollard discovers he's been set up. Double-crossed and fueled by adrenaline, he needs to be at the top of his game, or he'll be the one who's erased. Permanently.

[ NOTES ]
I have to admit, when I heard they were making a new Eraser film, my first thought was, "Why?" The 1996 original, while successful at the time, is mostly forgotten these days. Sure, I remember it, but do you? Was anyone clamoring for a sequel...or a remake, in this case, since Reborn has no connection to the original whatsoever? Well, we have one, and it's pretty much what I expected from a 26-years-later remake no one asked for. It's a standard low-budget action film that is a decent way to spend 100 minutes, but without any notable stars - I never heard of a single person in the cast, and I usually recognize obscure character actor's names - I doubt there will be third film in another 26 years. My recommendation is to RENT IT from wherever you rent movies these days and, if you find it worthy of owning, buy it from the links below.
Eraser: Reborn is available on Blu-ray and DVD. The 1996 original starring Arnold Schwarzenegger is available on Blu-ray by itself or in a two-disc set with Collateral Damage.
