[ SYNOPSIS ]
After an accident on a winding road, four teens (Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prinze, Jr., Ryan Phillippe) make the fatal mistake of dumping their victim's body into the sea. Exactly one year later, the four friends' deadly secret resurfaces as they're stalked by a hook-handed figure looking for more than just an apology...

The movie is presented in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with a runtime of 1:40:52. The movie has been rated R for strong horror violence and language. Audio languages include English, French, German, Spanish, Czech, Hungarian, Italian, and Portuguese. Subtitle languages include English, English SDH, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Greek, Hungarian, Icelandic, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Swedish, Thai, and Turkish.
[ SPECIAL FEATURES ]
The 4K UHD and the Blu-ray disc each contain unique special features, though the audio commentary was not ported over to the 4K UHD disc, surprisingly. First, here's everything that can be found on the 4K UHD disc.
- Deleted Scenes (5:06) - Seven scenes include "Ray and Barry Discuss Their Future", "Stick Together", "Fisherman at the Door", "Barry at Hospital", "Fishing Truck", "The Plan", and "Original Ending".
- My Own Summer (29:39) - An interview with director Jim Gillespie that was filmed via teleconferencing during the COVID pandemic.
- He Knows What You Did (14:43) - An interview with Muse Watson.
- Audio Commentary - by director Jim Gillespie and editor Steve Mirkovich, recorded in 1998.
- Joyride (10:10) - A 1995 short film, with optional commentary by director Jim Gillespie
- Now I Know What You Did Last Summer (27:05) - A 1998 making-of featurette.
- "Hush" Music Video (2:56) - The music video for the song by Kula Shakar that was released in 1997.
- Theatrical Trailer (2:19)
A digital copy code voucher is included inside the standard two-disc black UHD case. The first print run includes a "25th Anniversary" slipcover with different artwork from the case beneath.
[ NOTES ]
I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) is available on 4K UHD/Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray and a Special Edition DVD that was only released in a "Deluxe Box Set" with the second film. Jennifer Love Hewett came back for a sequel, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998), which is available on Blu-ray and DVD. The third film, I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer (2006), which doesn't feature any of the original teens, is available on Blu-ray and DVD (alt url, alt url, alt url).
