[ SYNOPSIS ]
Pop Boyd (Scatman Crothers) owns a thriving karate school near downtown Los Angeles. Unfortunately, it sits on a piece of land upon which a local mob wants to build its own civic center. When the gangsters' muscling of Pop leads to tragedy, Black Belt Jones (Jim Kelly) steps forward to exact his individual brand of lightning-charged revenge.

The movie is presented in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with a runtime of 1:25:37 (an additional 30 seconds of legal text follows). The movie has been rated R. Audio languages include English. Subtitle languages include English SDH.

[ NOTES ]
Black Belt Jones (1974) is available on Blu-ray and DVD (only in the 4 Film Favorites: Urban Action set with Three the Hard Way, Black Samson, and Hot Potato). (Note: The 4 Film Favorites set is two single-sided DVDs, each with two movies on it. No extras for any of the films, not even a trailer. Of the other three films, only Three the Hard Way is available on Blu-ray (reviewed here), and none are available separately on DVD.)
