Shameless (U.S.): The Complete Series Blu-ray Review

Warner Brothers recently released the Shameless (U.S.): The Complete Series Blu-ray. Read on to find out more about it...
[ SYNOPSIS ]
Eleven seasons. Six children. But there's only one Frank Gallagher (William H. Macy). Frank is the proud, working-class patriarch of the smart, industrious, independent Gallagher family, who without him would be... perhaps better off. When Frank's not at the bar spending what little money they have, he's passed out on the floor, leaving his kids to fend for themselves. His eldest daughter, Fiona (Emmy Rossum), and son Lip (Jeremy Allen White) do their best to hold down the fort as their motley brood stumble through misguided schemes, struggles and petty (and not-so-petty) crimes as they attempt to survive the South Side of Chicago. Outrageously funny, and at times just plain outrageous, the Gallaghers may not be like any family you know, but they make no apologies for being exactly who they are.
[ EPISODES ]
The 27-disc set includes all 134 episodes of the 2011–2021 series that aired on Showtime in the United States.
[ SPECIFICATIONS ]
The show is presented in a 1.78:1 aspect ratio. The show is Not Rated. Audio languages include English. Subtitle languages include English SDH.
[ SPECIAL FEATURES ]
There are special features for each of the 11 seasons. In lieu of typing up a very long list, I will just place a scan of the episodes & extras list from the insert that floats around inside the first case. Click on it for a readable enlargement.
[ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ]
No digital copy code voucher is included, but an insert booklet is (cropped scan above). The set is packaged in two thick crappy Epik Pak cases, one for seasons 1 through 7 and one for seasons 8 through 11, stored inside a side-loading slipbox.
[ NOTES ]
Shameless (U.S.): The Complete Series is available on Blu-ray and DVD. I watched the entire series first run on Showtime, and besides the nice female nudity - from Emmy Rossum (multiple episodes), Laura Wiggins (s01e04 "Casey Casden"), Nichole Bloom/Sakura (s05e08 "Uncle Carl"), and others - the show is enjoyable (in a twisted way) as the story of Chicago's most dysfunctional functional family. I noted this as "U.S." because it's actually a remake of a 2004-2013 U.K. series with the same name (that also lasted 11 seasons).
