By Paul Rudoff on Jun. 21, 2026 at 8:00 PM in Home Video, Animation, Horror

Join me as I do a quick review round-up of home videos that have already been released, or will be released soon...
All of the items below are available for purchase from Amazon or Movie Zyng at the links provided. The Corner Penthouse will earn a very tiny commission from your purchase using these links.

Eraser (1996)
• BUY IT: 4K UHD, 4K UHD Steelbook, Blu-ray, DVD.
• SYNOPSIS: U.S. marshal John Kruger (Arnold Schwarzenegger) "erases" the lives and identities of people entering the Witness Protection Program. When his latest charge (Vanessa Williams) uncovers a deal to put a new superweapon in the wrong hands, it's a do-or-die assignment. Kruger embarks on a high-octane action spree to protect her.
• SPECIAL FEATURES: All of the content below can be found on the 4K UHD disc.
- Reinventing the Modern Action Hero: The Evolution of Arnold (6:00) - Discover how the legendary actor's career shifted from the muscle-forward characters of the 80s into a sleeker, more emotionally grounded, action identity. Includes new interviews with director Chuck Russell, executive producer Michael Tadross, and actor Vanessa Williams; all recorded separately.
- '90s Action Thriller Reimagined (8:35) - Dive deeper into the star power, early CGI, and technological innovations that defined the transition from the late-80s analog action into the emerging digital era to follow. Includes the same three participants as the other new featurette.
• NOTES: The first print run includes a slipcover. The new extras are nice, though the trailer from old DVD is still missing (it wasn't on the Blu-ray, either), and it would have been nice to have all of the vintage EPK materials (featurettes and cast interviews). There was an attempt to reboot the IP back in 2022 - Eraser: Reborn - which I reviewed at the time.

Scream 7 (2026)
• BUY IT: 4K UHD + Blu-ray, 4K UHD Steelbook, 4K UHD Gift Set, DVD.
• SYNOPSIS: Ghostface returns with a vengeance - and this time it's personal. Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a quiet life with her family, far from the horrors that once defined her. But when Sidney's daughter (Isabel May) becomes his next target, her worst fears become reality. Forced to face the nightmare she thought was buried, Sidney launches a relentless fight to protect her family.
• SPECIAL FEATURES: All of the content below can be found on both the 4K UHD and Blu-ray discs.
- Scar Tissue: The Making of Scream 7 (21:49) - Kevin Williamson takes the helm! Watch the legacy cast survive the set of the most personal Scream yet. Don't forget the rules.
- Building Tension: Production Design (8:13) - Discover the designs behind the goriest death traps and get an inside look at the making of the iconic Macher house!
- Dance of Death: Stunts (6:27) - What does it take to be a final girl? Go inside the choreography of the film's most intense chases and physical face-offs with Ghostface.
- Music Video (3:27) - Ice Nine Kills presents "Twisting The Knife" featuring Mckenna Grace.
- Deleted Scenes (5:09) - Includes a total of six scenes that were slashed from the final cut.
• NOTES: The first print run includes a slipcover. While it was an enjoyable film, and some of the kills were cool, I feel like this series should be killed off already. It ran out of steam a few entries ago. The only thing of note here is the casting of Mckenna Grace and Celeste O'Connor, both reuniting from the two most recent Ghostbusters films, and the dimpled darling Isabel May.

The Mastermind (2025)
• BUY IT: Blu-ray, DVD.

• SPECIAL FEATURES: All of the content below can be found on the Blu-ray disc.
- Unwinding the Heist Film (14:26)
• NOTES: Included in the thick Criterion-like case are a set of photocards. The first print run includes a slipcover.

Protector (2026)
• BUY IT: Blu-ray, DVD.
• SYNOPSIS: Former war hero Nikki's (Milla Jovovich) peaceful life is shattered when her daughter is kidnapped. Thrust into the criminal underworld while hunted by cops and military, she must fight to rescue her child.
• SPECIAL FEATURES: There are no special features.
• RATING: R for strong/bloody violence, and language.
• NOTES: A great low-budget action film that delivers on what the cover promises: Milla kicking ass.

Crime 101 (2026)
• BUY IT: 4K UHD, Blu-ray, DVD.
• SYNOPSIS: When an elusive jewel thief (Chris Hemsworth) eyes the score of a lifetime, his path crosses that of a disillusioned insurance broker (Halle Berry) who is facing her own crossroads. Convinced he has found a pattern, a relentless detective (Mark Ruffalo) is closing in, raising the stakes even higher. As the heist approaches, the line between hunter and hunted begins to blur, and all three are faced with life-defining choices - and the realization that there can be no turning back.
• SPECIAL FEATURES: There are no special features.
• RATING: R for language throughout, some violence and sexual material/nudity.

Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die (2026)
• BUY IT: 4K UHD + Blu-ray.
• SYNOPSIS: A man (Sam Rockwell) claiming to be from the future recruits an unlikely group of diner patrons to join him on a genre-defying adventure to save humanity from the perils of social media brainrot and the impending AI apocalypse!
• SPECIAL FEATURES: All of the content below can be found on both the 4K UHD and Blu-ray discs.
- The Making of Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die (5:07) - Sam Rockwell, Juno Temple, Zazzi Beetz, and Michael Pena offer comments on their characters, costumes, sets, and the film's director.

The Late Show (1977)
• BUY IT: Blu-ray, DVD.
• SYNOPSIS: Aging private eye Ira Wells (Art Carney) agrees to help a Hollywood kook named Margo (Lily Tomlin) locate her missing cat. Little does he know he's got a tiger by the tail. Written and directed by Robert Benton, the film is brilliant, funny, and a gutsy proto-noir homage to '40s detective thrillers. Like Philip Marlowe and Sam Spade, gimpy-legged Ira's one of the great ones. Will this one last case-and this one flaky lady-give him one last chance to prove it?
• SPECIAL FEATURES: All of the content below can be found on the Blu-ray disc.
- Dinah!" Excerpt with Lily Tomlin (4:53) - A 1976 daytime TV clip featuring Lily Tomlin talking to Dinah Shore about the then-upcoming release of The Late Show alongside most of The Doobie Brothers.
- Theatrical Trailer (1:55)
• NOTES: Absolutely fine performances by two screen legends in an outstanding movie mystery. Highly recommended.

Keeping Up With the Joneses (2016)
• BUY IT: 4K UHD + Blu-ray, Blu-ray + DVD.
• SYNOPSIS: The Gaffneys (Zach Galifianakis and Isla Fisher), an ordinary suburban couple, find that it's not easy keeping up with the Joneses (Jon Hamm and Gal Gadot), their impossibly attractive and ultra-sophisticated new neighbors - especially when they discover that Mr. and Mrs. Jones are covert spies embroiled in international espionage.
• SPECIAL FEATURES: All of the content below can be found on the Blu-ray disc. The 4K UHD disc only contains the movie.
- Spy Game (11:44) - The standard EPK with interviews, behind the scenes footage, and clips from the film.
- Deleted Scenes (18:17) - A total of five scenes.
- Keeping Up with Georgia (5:04) - A promotional piece about Atlanta, likely done for a tax credit.
- Gallery (2:05)
- Theatrical Trailer (2:26)
• NOTES: I was really surprised when this title popped up on the reviewers portal because it's not even close to being a new release. This 4K was originally released to retail on January 17, 2017; almost ten years ago! In fact, my copy is an old retail product, complete with the security "title" sticker on top and "Made in Mexico" stamped on the back of the case. Even more interesting is that, despite having a 4K disc, the digital copy code redeems at Movies Anywhere in HD only. Anyway, those irregularities aside, the movie was a fun action comedy with a top-notch cast and is recommended.

Looney Tunes Cartoons: The Complete Series (2019-2024)
• BUY IT: Blu-ray.
• SYNOPSIS: Your favorite Looney Tunes characters are back in action. The Looney Tunes Cartoons feature updated stories for the new millennium - and beyond! Get ready for lots of laughs and madcap fun starring the iconic Looney Tunes characters including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Sylvester, Tweety Bird, Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote, Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam, Taz, Marvin the Martian, and more.
• SPECIAL FEATURES: All of the content below can be found on Blu-ray Disc 6.
- Looney Tunes Presents: Sports Made Simple (12 shorts, 1-3 minutes each) - These shorts feature Bugs Bunny and others playing the sports "Mountain Biking", "Tennis", "Gymnastics", "Beach Volleyball", "Breaking", "4x100m Relay", "Figure Skating", "Snowboarding", "Speed Skating & Short Track", "Ice Hockey", "Bobsleigh", and "Ski Jumping". These shorts originally streamed in two separate six-episode chunks during 2024 and 2026.
• NOTES: Okay, let's get this out of the way right now: This is NOT the complete collection of vintage theatrical Looney Tunes shorts. This is the complete HBO Max series that aired from 2019 to 2024. That's not a negative, though, as this modern interpretation of the classic cartoon characters really captures the spirit of the classics. Definitely frantic fun and enjoyable. For those who wants to know what's included, below is the episode list and disc breakdown that is printed on the interior of the case.

• NOTES: No digital copy code voucher is included. The set is beautifully packaged in five standard size three-disc and four-disc blue Blu-ray cases, stored inside a side-loading slipbox. This is infinitely better than the thick all-in-one DVD-size cases that are used for most Complete Series Blu-ray sets these days. Episode and content lists are printed on the inside of each case. A fun show I used to watch all the time on the USA Network 15 years ago, made infinitely better with Piper Perabo as the lead. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
