Both Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II have Electronic Press Kits (EPK for short), which is a video reel sent to various media outlets (like TV News programs) for them to use to help promote a film. It usually contains a trailer, film clips, making of featurette, cast and crew interviews, behind the scenes footage, and other such stuff. Columbia Pictures produced EPKs for the original two films on videocassette. Nowadays, the studios just release the trailers and other video segments online for the press, like me. We've all seen the trailers for Ghostbusters: Afterlife (buy theater tickets here), but the other publicity materials for the film that would usually be on an EPK have not been seen by most. On Tuesday November 9, 2021, my dear friend Raffaele Ruffaldi attended the premiere of Ghostbusters: Afterlife (buy tickets here) in Brussels, Belgium. I would have to wait another week before the "world premiere" in New York City. Yeah, I don't know why they called the NYC showing a "world premiere" when it already premiered around the world over the prior few weeks, but whatever. Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which is currently taking the box office by storm (buy tickets here), will have a score album (erroneously called the "Original Motion Picture Soundtrack") released on Audio CD very soon - though it is available now digitally. This album features the music composed by Elmer Bernstein and Rob Simonsen for the film. It does not feature any of the pop songs ("needle drops") used in the film. Since there won't be a proper "soundtrack" album, what are you to do if you want all of that other music? Well, I'll provide you with links to purchase all of the songs listed in the end credits of the film.
