##### BAG #2 OF 3 #####
• Loot Crate Ghostbusters 35th Anniversary Peter Venkman & Slimer Slimed Figure
• Loot Crate Ghostbusters Terror Dog Pin
• Loot Crate Die Hard "Nakatomi Plaza" Playing Card Deck
• Loot Crate-Exclusive Bioworld Anti-Magic Academy: The 35th Test Platoon Scarf
This bag only has the usual four items, not five, so it's back to a value of $2.50 per item. Still a damn good price for these items. More important than that is the fact that - HOLY MOTHER PUSSBUCKET! - there are TWO Ghostbusters items!
At first I didn't know that this was a Peter Venkman & Slimer statue (from Loot Crate with a 2019 copyright date on the bottom of the base). Peter, Slimer, and the base were all separate, so I thought the base was for Slimer and that Peter was a separate item. Of course, Neca being Neca, they threw out the box and packaging, which would have told me that it was part of the "Ghostbusters 35th Anniversary" wave, and that it's officially called a "Slimed Figure".
As you can see in the photo above, which shows the three components as I took them out of the bag, there is some kind of red dust on Peter's gloves. I have no idea what it is, or why it's there.
Thankfully, as seen in the above photo, I managed to wipe it off with a tissue. Yeah, it looks SO much better.
Once you put Peter onto the base, and affix Slimer onto his Proton Pack, you get a 4.5" tall statue (about 3" from front to back or width of base) that depicts the famous hallway scene from the first Ghostbusters film. Although the paint job on the front of his hair leaves something to be desired, this is, without a doubt, THE BEST ITEM I HAVE EVER FOUND IN ONE OF THESE BAGS!!! Most Ghostbusters statues are just of the guys, or the ghosts, maybe against a backdrop or in some sort of diorama. This is the only one I've seen that depicts a ghost phasing through one of the Ghostbusters. SO... DAMN... COOL!!!
While nothing could possibly top that, the second Ghostbusters is pretty nice, as well. It's a Terror Dog pin from Loot Crate with a 2019 copyright date. It's 1.5" from the tip of each horn, and 1" from the top of the head to the jaw.
After all of that Ghostbusters goodness, everything else is going to seem like a let-down. That said, this deck of "Nakatomi Plaza" playing cards is neat. My father collected playing cards, and if he were still alive, I would have given this to him. It has the Nakatomi Plaza logo on one side, with the date "December 24, 1988" - when the events of Die Hard took place. The other side is a repeated logo pattern, and in a nice touch, there's some red blood splotches in the upper left corner. It's a Loot Crate item with a 2019 copyright date.
This last item is a red, white, and blue vertical striped scarf, with a "Anti-Magic Academy: The 35th Test Platoon" tag on it. Looking at the tag closely, it was made by Bioworld, is a Loot Crate-exclusive, and was made in 2016. There's a copyright to Crunchy Roll on the tag, which tells me that Anti-Magic Academy: The 35th Test Platoon is an anime program. After a quick Google search, I've learned that it's a 12-episode anime series that aired between October 7 and December 23, 2015. Originally, I thought this was a sweater vest, but after seeing the image below from the series, I now know that it's a really long scarf.
Hands down, this is THE BEST NECA BLIND BAG I HAVE EVER PURCHASED! Nothing more to say about it, so let's see if the third bag is even better...
