Neca $9.99 Pop Culture Blind Bag Unboxing Review

##### BAG #3 OF 3 #####
• Loot Crate Ghostbusters Terror Dog Pin
• Loot Crate Jaws Drain Stopper
• HYP The Lord of the Rings Legolas & Gimli Crew Socks
• HYP The Lord of the Rings Frodo & Sam Crew Socks
Again, there are only four items. I guess that first bag was a fluke.
Well, it's the Terror Dog pin again. Had it not been in the last bag, I would have been really happy about this. Unless I'm forgetting something, this is the first duplicate item I've found in any of these Neca blind bags. To repeat what I wrote on the last page. "It's a Terror Dog pin from Loot Crate with a 2019 copyright date. It's 1.5" from the tip of each horn, and 1" from the top of the head to the jaw." Moving on...
Now this item is a prime example of why Neca shouldn't throw out the boxes from these items. Originally, I thought it was a rubber ice cube mold in the shape of the shark from Steven Spielberg's Jaws. I thought you could make four "cubes" from it; one of the shark (it'll be about 2.5" in length), and one for each of the three barrels that surround him. If I had the box, I would have known that it was actually a Jaws Drain Stopper! This is why the boxes are SO important, and should be kept. Just make the bags a little bigger, Neca, or make them small "blind boxes" for the same price. No date or manufacturer is given, but I do know that it was a Loot Crate exclusive.
Finally, there are two pairs of The Lord of the Rings crew socks, made by HYP in 2019. These are interesting because they are not matching pairs. The first pair contains one Legolas sock and one Gimli sock. The other pair contains one Frodo sock and one Sam sock. Various online listings say that these socks were Loot Crate-exclusives. I'm sure that's right. Without actively trying, I now have a collection of licensed crew socks. A few different Ghostbusters pairs, Child's Play, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Avengers, and now Lord of the Rings. The faces on these are a bit on the ugly side, but for $2.50 a pair, I can't really complain much.
Yeah, after the second bag, this one would have had a hard time trying to top it. If the Terror Dog pin wasn't a duplicate, I would rate this bag higher. The socks are the best part, and I'm not much of a The Lord of the Rings fan.
Well, that brings me to the end of my Neca Pop Culture Blind Bags three-in-one review. My hunch that I would find Ghostbusters merch in the Pop Culture bag was very well founded. ALL THREE BAGS HAD A GHOSTBUSTERS ITEM! Unfortunately, for me, the third bag's Ghostbusters item was a duplicate from the second, but that could just be my dumb luck. Of course, just because each of these three bags has a Ghostbusters item in it doesn't mean that every Pop Culture bag will have a Ghostbusters item in it. I would definitely buy more of the Pop Culture bags, but none of the other three (Superhero, Gamer, and Sci-Fi & Horror). Maybe I'll review any future Pop Culture bags I buy.

THANK YOU FOR THIS REVIEW! I just bought the same blind bag and got the jaws drain stopper too! And we all thought it was an ice mold too!
