Warner Brothers recently released the Black Samson (1974) Blu-ray. Read on to find out more about it...
[ SYNOPSIS ]
When white drug dealers try to move their operation into the 'hood, they do not plan on a local nightclub owner, a master of martial arts known locally as Black Samson (Rockne Tarkington). Nefarious individuals try to make a deal with Samson. Then, they try to kill him. But when they beat up his girlfriend, the dealers go too far. Samson leads his pet lion and the people of his neighborhood in a war that drives the drug pushers out of Samson's piece of the 'hood.
[ SPECIFICATIONS ]
The movie is presented in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with a runtime of 1:28:05 (an additional 25 seconds of legal text follows). The movie has been rated R. Audio languages include English. Subtitle languages include English SDH.

[ NOTES ]
Black Samson (1978) is available on Blu-ray and DVD (only in the 4 Film Favorites: Urban Action set with Three the Hard Way, Black Belt Jones, and Hot Potato). (Note: The 4 Film Favorites set is two single-sided DVDs, each with two movies on it. No extras for any of the films, not even a trailer.) Of the other three films, only Hot Potato has yet to be released on Blu-ray. Three the Hard Way can be purchased here (reviewed here), and Black Belt Jones can be purchased here (reviewed here).
