[ NOTES ]
Get Carter (1971) is available on 4K UHD + Blu-ray (Warner), 4K UHD + Blu-ray (BFI), Blu-ray (alt url), DVD (2001 Snapper Case) [no link], and DVD-R (2011 Warner Archive). It should be noted that the UK-import Region-B 4K UHD + Blu-ray set from the British Film Institute (BFI) has an isolated score track and a few additional extras that aren't on the new Warner Brothers 4K. So, if you have a region-free player and can afford to import it, it will give you everything from the Warner disc plus more. If not, the Warner disc is a good cheap alternative. The isolated score track is also on the 2001 Snapper Case Warner DVD.
The film is an adaptation of Ted Lewis' novel "Jack's Return Home", which was made into the American Blaxplotation classic Hit Man (1972) (reviewed here), which is available on Blu-ray and DVD. Get Carter (2000), the American remake with Sylvester Stallone, is available on Blu-ray and DVD.
